Staff Lounge
Please remember that it would be appreciated if everyone would clean up after themselves.  The microwave has once again become a test site for cooked on goo and dishes are piling up in the sink.  Please help keep our staff lounge enjoyable by all.

Cameras at school (from Mrs. King)
There are kids who want to bring cameras to school.  This is now a more complex an issue than in the old Kodak days.  With the digital age, photos are often downloaded onto the internet and can travel to unknown territory.  We presently have students whose parents have denied permission to have their child photographed.  I think we need to be sensitive and cautios about this, as they represent all grade levels.

Please tell your kids that camers need to stay home.  I do not think they need to know the complexity of the above issues.  Just let them know that we have a no technology rule, no phones, no ipods…and that cameras go right along with that.

What will happen if a camera surfaces?  We will ask the child to put it away just as we would a cell phone on the first infraction.  However, if it comes out again it will be confiscated and held in the office to be picked up after school.

Awards/Activities
Please make sure that we have a list of the students that are participating in activities.  If new students have come in, please make sure that we know as certificates will be printed and we would like to make sure we don’t forget anyone.

Moving Students
Please email the office if you hear of a student that is moving or states they will not be coming to Spinning in the fall.  We will contact parent to get the scoop.

Field Trips
Another reminder about sack lunch availability and the need to make sure that you have communicated to specialists about your field trips.  Also, meds that need to be picked up must be done by staff member only.
