Activities
If you are in charge of a group, activity or team, we need to have a list of each student participating so it can be entered in to the Activities database.

Diversity Information
Please review the folder full of helpful information that is posted above the copier and will be updated periodically.

Staff Luncheon
Please sign-up for an item in the staff room, if you wish to join us. If you wish to add an item feel free to do that as well. Sunshine will purchase the paper products for these luncheons.  Please bring your item to school on these luncheon days ready to be served.  Feel free to put your food items in the staff room on these days, and someone will set up and have the lunch ready to go by 12:00.  We will all chip in afterwards and clean-up :) unless we want to take turns and assign a different grade level to clean up each time?
Hope everyone can participate and join us-this is a great time for us all to take a break together in the staff room.

Notes/Emails
Please make sure that you forward any notes and/or email that you receive regarding students attendance/health/dismissal/etc.

Staff Lounge
The sink in the staff lounge is currently full of dirty dishes.  It would be greatly appreciated by all if everyone cleaned up after themselves. The dishes do not wash themselves.

Can you help?
As a way to encourage attendance and promote this positive activity, the PBIS team thought it would be great to have a raffle for those who attend Literacy Night at the Puyallup Library!   We are making a basket for each event (primary and intermediate) that contains literacy related items. Would anyone like to donate to this cause???? Some examples are:  age-appropriate books, of course, word searches, Snuggly, color books/art books, hot cocoa, bookmarks, flashcards, timers, book light.  Please give donations to Darcy and she will put the items together.   Thanks, in advance, for considering a donation!

Pizza with the Principal
Pizza with the principal will be held once a month on a Tuesday at 11:45 to accommodate primary and intermediate lunch schedules.

Student of the Month
Please send names and reasons for your October Student of the Month to Barb by Wednesday, Oct. 24 no later than 12:30 so letters can be in your box on Thursday folder day 10/25.  I really would appreciate if you could do make this deadline as I have training on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 and need some time to get letters completed.

Office Closed
Wednesday, October 24 at 2:45 the office will be closed due to district training.

Elementary Report Card dates for the 2013 school year
·        Trimester 1 December 3rd
·        Trimester 2 March 18th
·        Trimester 3 June 19th
Remember these dates could change according to changes in the district elementary calendars. Example: a snow day.
Teachers are able to enter report card grades at any time during the trimester. Students will be added and removed from the report card list in each competency as students enroll and withdraw, so the teachers will need to pay close attention making sure that each student active is given marks in each competency.
Bus Drills (1st of the Year)
Bus drivers will be conducting the drills as they arrive in the AM to drop students off at school. As this is the first time the drivers are conducting an exit drill with student practicing the exit process, there may be some impact with the beginning of school; however, we hope it will be minimal. It would be greatly appreciated if you could have some of your staff outside to support and assist our drivers with any problems they may encounter due to the change in the exit drill procedure.
Night Conferences
Our wonderful PTA has offered to provide a light meal during our evening conferences.  More details to follow.
Conference Schedules
Please make sure that we have a copy of your conference schedules in the office prior to your conferences so we can answer parent’s questions when they forget the time of their meeting.

Viking Store Hours
We continue to have students coming throughout the day to shop with their Viking Victory.  Please adhere to the store hours as it puts a negative spin on a positive event when they come and have to be sent away without a prize.

Store Hours:     8:30 to 8:45  Lunch/Lunch Recess 11:30 – 1:00  3:16 – 3:30
Kindergarten students may be sent at the end of their session.
