Dental Health
Cancelled, since the school district cannot promote one dental agency over another, no identifiable information can be distributed to students. With that in mind, Gentle Dental has decided that they will be unable to put the required time and effort into coming into the classrooms to provide dental education.

Report Cards
Please email Laura and Barb when you have completed your report cards.  Once they have been proofed, the copy will go in your box and you will receive an email.  If changes are needed, please notify Barb once you have completed changes so she can print you the final.

Grade Level Meeting Minutes
Please send an electronic copy of your Grade Level Meeting minutes to Barb within a week of your meeting.
Cookie Dough Delivery
On Tuesday, Dec. 11, Cookie Dough will be delivered in the foyer from 3:00 to 4:00.

Chinese Acrobats Assembly
We were able to secure this assembly due to a last minute cancellation in our area.  Each year The Bureau of Lectures brings new groups of Chinese acrobats complete with new routines to the US.  Rest assured though your students will still see some of their favorite routines, such as:  contortions, plate spinning, foot juggling, Chinese yo-yo, and group acrobatics.  An interpreter will also be with the group to enrich each assembly with facts about Chinese culture and customs.

Dental Health
Would you like a free toothbrush and toothpaste with a lesson on dental health for your classroom? The trainers have a big dog puppet (at least for primary grades) with a big mouth and toothbrush and they want a hands-on type of class.  They recommend not combining classrooms for that reason.  If you are interested, you will need to contact Kalleen Henderson at hendersonk@interdent.com or phone at 425 492-5209 to schedule your class.  They anticipate doing classes through the winter and spring.  When you contact Kalleen, you will need to let her know the school's name, the amount of time you'd like to have for the class and the number of students.  They are eager to go to Support Center classes.  If you have questions, talk with Charlene Fitzgerald.

If a substitute has not been assigned, the teacher needs to report to their building.
Did you know?
November is National Native American Heritage Month. President Obama has called upon all Americans to commemorate this month with appropriate programs and activities, and to celebrate November 23, 2012, as Native American Heritage Day.
Do you need a volunteer?
Please make sure if you need a room parent, volunteer for an activity or someone to help with a project in your classroom.  Please contact Barb to make this happen.
