The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson. Tom Bodett

Cross Walks are for staff, too. We have had complaints from parents that in the morning they have observed staff members crossing the street and not using the crosswalk. Please remember to set the example by always crossing at the cross walk.
Attendance – We are working hard to hold parents accountable to having their students to school on time. Please do the same by marking students absent when they are not in the room when the tardy bell rings. If they come in to the room after the bell and you have not done attendance, tardy students must be marked tardy (if they have a yellow slip from the office, they should have been marked). This is really important for audit purposes that our office staff is not inputting the attendance, only updating what has already been input.
Sunshine funds are due by October 1st. Please see Dawn Utti with your money. Full-time $20, Part-time/work at other schools $10.
Parent volunteers – Please make sure that you notify Barb for any Volunteer needs you may have. The first primary and the first intermediate teacher to contact Bart to request a parent volunteer will be awarded a Viking Victory prize from Mrs. King.
